Catherine Monson, the CEO of Propelled Brands, is a strong advocate for the future of small business and franchising, Catherine spends much of her time and energy serving on the Board of Directors for the International Franchise Association (IFA), the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide. She has served on the Board of Directors of the IFA since 2008 and became the IFA Chair in February 2020 where she served as chair in both 2020 and 2021 , the only person to serve two terms as IFA chair. In 2024, she was inducted into the IFA Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Award is the oldest and most prestigious recognition conferred by the IFA, recognizing a franchisor or franchisee who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the franchise business model and to the benefit of the IFA mission. Through her service with the IFA, Monson works to help further the IFA’s mission of protecting and promoting franchising through government relations, public relations and educational programs. She is a keynote speaker at many franchise industry events, as well as at many sign and visual graphics industry events.
